UiPath has announced several new features to its platform that leverage Generative AI (GenAI) to improve the speed, efficiency, and comprehensiveness of automation capabilities. These features target both developers and testers, with a focus on improving the UiPath Business Automation Platform™.
UiPath Autopilot for Developers and Testers
UiPath Autopilot significantly reduces the time and effort required to develop and test automations. Developers can describe their automation ideas in natural language, and Autopilot will automatically generate the initial workflow structure. This eliminates the need for manual coding and allows developers to focus on more complex tasks. Additionally, Autopilot can generate expressions and code based on natural language descriptions, further streamlining the development process.
Building applications can also be accelerated with UiPath Autopilot. Developers can create new applications from various sources, such as PDFs, text files, and images. This simplifies the process of converting manual tasks into automated workflows.
UiPath Autopilot also enhances the efficiency of test automation. It can analyze test requirements to identify any inconsistencies or missing information. Based on these requirements, Autopilot can then generate step-by-step test cases. These test cases can then be easily converted into coded automations within UiPath Studio, reducing the manual effort required for test creation. Finally, Autopilot provides real-time insights into the testing process, allowing testers to identify areas for improvement and optimize their testing strategy.
UiPath Plugin and Integration with Copilot for Microsoft 365
UiPath’s new integration with Copilot for Microsoft Teams fosters a more collaborative automation environment. Teams members can now leverage co-worker expertise to automate tasks directly within the familiar Teams interface. This eliminates the need to switch between applications and simplifies the process of requesting or implementing automations. Additionally, a pre-built library of automations is available within Copilot. These automations address common business tasks and industry-specific functions, further streamlining the automation process for Teams users.
New AI Enhancements for Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
- Improved Accuracy and Scalability: UiPath DocPath and CommPath, large language models for document processing, are now generally available, offering increased accuracy, speed, and scalability.
- Active Learning: A new active learning feature reduces training time for custom models by 80%, allowing users with no coding experience to train their own AI models.
- Generative Validation: GenAI is used to validate document understanding model outputs, reducing human workload and increasing automation rates.
AI-powered Building Blocks
- GenAI Activities: A collection of pre-built activities simplifies common GenAI use cases for developers, including content generation, PII filtering, text summarization, and object detection.
- Intelligent UI Form Handling: New activities leverage specialized AI to handle forms as a whole, reducing development and maintenance time. These activities include form filling, data extraction, and data entry.
- UiPath Trust Layer: Ensures customers can leverage GenAI capabilities securely, with governance based on company data and policies.
UiPath Automation Cloud™ Availability in the UK
UiPath Automation Cloud is now generally available on Microsoft Azure in the UK. This expansion caters to the demand for local data residency and the growing need for AI-powered automation in the UK. These new features allow UiPath to use AI to streamline and empower businesses in their automation journeys.
