India is the top country for AI Reports and Projects, says Satya Nadella in a Q&A

Satya Nadella is the Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Corporation, appointed in 2014. In a recent interview with CNBC-TV18, he stated that India holds a strong position in Artificial Intelligence. He said that India will become the world’s third-largest economy by 2030.

India has made massive strides in its economic development and is one of the fastest-growing economies. It has become the sixth-largest manufacturing nation. India has also surpassed the United States to become the second-largest start-up hub in the world. All of these indicators point to a bright future for India’s economy. In addition, India has a young population with a large number of skilled, educated workers. This is an attractive proposition for foreign investors, who will likely invest more in India in the coming years.

All of these factors combine to make India a desirable investment destination. With suitable investments and policies, India could quickly become the third-largest economy in the world by 2030.

India is currently number 2 on Github, where the world’s software engineers work

According to GitHub, a platform for collaborative software development, 9.75 million developers in India are now utilizing the service. The number makes India the second-largest developer community on GitHub after the US.

The upcoming phase in technology is Artificial Intelligence (AI), and India is number 1 in AI projects

NASSCOM reported that AI investments in India would reach 880 million USD by 2023. India’s share in the global AI market remains at 1.5%. AI will add around 450 to 500 million USD to the country’s GDP.

Nadella believes that these numbers strengthen India’s position as number 1 in AI Projects.

The upskilling rate in India is double the global rate

Nadella also stated that Indians on LinkedIn take pride in upskilling themselves. They currently hold an upskilling rate that is double the global rate, which is notably impressive.

These three aspects reinforce the fact that India has the talent, resources, and potential to become the global data capital.

In addition, Automation Anywhere recently reported that 40% of their bots are deployed and managed in India. Celonis has also stated that the company is expanding its operations in India by establishing new offices and hiring 900 people.

It is safe to assume that India will witness tremendous growth and become one of the most critical players in AI.
